Franz Josef Nick, born 1959 started studying law in 1979 in Würzburg and studied later also in Münster. In 1984 he took the first state examination in law and in 1987 the second, both in Würzburg. His professional career started in the legal department of Citibank, the corporate bank vehicle of Citigroup, where he became 1996 also anti-money laundering officer and in 1997 head of the legal department. In 2001 he moved to Citibank Privatkunden, the consumer bank vehicle of Citigroup in Germany. There he was promoted to a Generalbevollmächtigter and in 2002 to a member of the Vorstand of Citibank Privatkunden which was renamed to TARGOBANK after the sale by Citigroup. In 2008 he became the chairman of the board of TARGOBANK. Since 2016 Mr. Nick is admitted as lawyer and as of this year partner and managing director of Maleki International Services for Finance GmbH.
